Kangaroo, Inc. Changes Name to Punch Networks
SEATTLE, August 31, 1998 - Effective today, Kangaroo, Inc., a Seattle-based networking solutions software company, announced its name change to Punch Networks Corporation. The change was made in order to more closely align the company name with the brand name of its product line. The company's new web site is www.punchnetworks.com.

"We changed our name in order to help distinguish ourselves in the Internet technology marketplace," said Punch Networks President & CEO. "The name Punch Networks helps communicate our vision of how a network should operate and distribute information to users - efficiently and reliably, while providing all users with the most current information."

Punch Networks Corporation
Punch Networks (formerly Kangaroo, Inc.), is a networking solutions software company that develops products and technologies to effectively manage changing digital information. The company's first product, due for release in January '99, allows groups of users to create a virtual collaborative network (VCN), easing the way files are managed and shared. Punch WebGroups incrementally updates any type of digital information - including documents, graphics files, digital audio and video, and software applications - directly to each WebGroups user's desktop, using their existing web browser. By sending and storing only the changes to files, Punch WebGroups can substantially free-up bandwidth use and decrease download times.
