VFirm Adds Punch WebGroups to Small Business Service Offerings
SEATTLE, Wa, February 2, 2001 - Punch Networks Corp., a leading provider of outsourced file storage and collaboration services, announced that vFirm, an ASP specializing in productivity solutions for the small business professional, will offer a branded version of Punch WebGroups to its customers. vFirm customers can access the service via the vWebTop application suite available at www.vfirm.com.

The vWebTop allows customers to choose from a menu of applications that includes collaborative groupware (email, shared calendar, etc.) and specialty applications (accounting, time & billing, etc.), which are vitally important to professional services firms. With the vWebTop, vFirm eliminates the hassle of managing software in-house, allowing their customers to focus on serving clients.

As a key component of the vWebTop, Punch WebGroups patented technology gives customers a secure file storage and collaboration service, which includes version tracking, audit trails, access controls, change notification and the fastest possible uploads and downloads. Such functionality, traditionally only available to large firms with big technology budgets, is now available to firms of any size through the vFirm and Punch partnership.

"Stability and superior functionality were key drivers for us in choosing a document management provider," says Tommy Blanchard, vice president of business development at vFirm. "Partnering with Punch Networks enables us to provide professional services firms with a best in class file storage and management system that is both cost effective and easy to use."

"vFirm is empowering a segment of the professional services market that has an undeniable need for the services they've built and aggregated in the vWebTop," said the president and CEO of Punch Networks. "Together we can deliver software and services to firms that need big company IT functionality, but don't have the internal resources or the budgets."
