From the ElectraDrive Sync Engine Settings Window you can change the directory the Sync Engine uses as the "root" or "home" of all synchronization activities. Under normal operation, everything inside this folder (all files and folders) will be synchronized with your ElectraDrive account.
Steps to change your Home directory
- Open your Sync Engine Settings Window
(for assistance see: How do I access the Settings Window)
- Select the "Browse..." (or "...") button next to the field displaying your current "Home" directory to display the "Browse for folder" window.
 Sync Engine: Browse for folder
You may select an existing folder, or press the "Make New Folder" button to create a new folder in the currently selected location.
- If you select an existing folder:
The Sync Engine will upload the entire contents (all files and folders) contained by that folder
- If you select to create a new folder:
You may be prompted to enter a name for the new folder.
If you are not prompted to provide a name for this new folder, then:
- look for a newly created folder named "New Folder" in the "Browse for folder" window.
- Select that folder
- Right-mouse-click on it to bring up the context menu
- Select "Rename"
- Type the desired name
- Press "Enter" on your keyboard
When you have your newly created folder correctly named, select the "OK" button to dismiss the "Browse for folder" window.
- You will see an alert that says:
Changing the Home Directory requires the Sync Engine to synchronize and shutdown. After the engine is shutdown the engine must be restarted manually.
Would you like to continue?

You must select "Yes" for your change to be saved.
IMPORTANT!
Once you press "Yes" the Settings window will auto-close and the Sync Engine will begin synchronizing with the server. Once the Sync Engine has completed that synchronization it will shut itself down. Once the Sync Engine has shut down completely, you can restart it from your Windows Start Menu:
