Why are people I invited to one of my WebGroups getting e-mail notices saying that their account is expiring, even though I have purchased an annual license?

Important things to know about Accounts and WebGroups
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
With the Release of Punch WebGroups 4.1 (April 24, 2004) new accounts created though the invitation process will not automatically begin their free 30 day "full use" trial. This change should prevent confusion which your co-workers or other team members may have experienced in the past related to the automated trial expiration email notices.

Effective April 24, 2004 all invited members will be given new accounts which will be free as long as they never initiate thier trial period by creating a WebGroup of their own. The process of Creating a WebGroup will begin the trial period for any account.

  • Each member of any WebGroup has their own account.

  • If you have purchased an annual subscription for your account, then you are allocated a certain amount of storage space on our server(s) and you can create WebGroups.

  • You can invite anyone with an e-mail address to become a member of your WebGroup.

  • Once invited, they will be a member of your WebGroup, but they will have their own distinct account. Their account may include other WebGroups they have been invited to join, or WebGroups they may decide to create.

  • You can create as many WebGroups as you like. You can invite as many people to join your WebGroups as you like.

  • When you invite new members, if they do not already have a Punch WebGroups account, they will be given a completely free account, which they will never have to pay for unless they decide to create a WebGroup of their own.
